The Renter's Pledge

**Handle with Care:** The renter is responsible for the item's condition from pickup/delivery until return. Treat the rented item as if it were your own.
**Timely Return:** Items must be returned exactly at the agreed-upon time and location. Late returns may incur daily penalty fees outlined in the listing terms.
**Inspection:** You must inspect the item upon receipt and report any existing damage to Rentozon within 2 hours of receiving it.
**Authorized Use:** Items should only be used for their intended purpose and by the renter who booked them.
**Security Deposit:** Renters must understand and agree to the specified security deposit, which will be held against potential damage or loss, and processed promptly upon successful return.
**No Sub-renting:** Rented items cannot be re-rented, leased, or loaned out to any third party during the rental period.

The Lister's Promise

**Accurate Description:** The item's description, images, and condition report must be 100% accurate at the time of listing.
**Clean and Functional:** Items must be clean, fully functional, and ready for immediate use upon handover.
**Clear Terms:** All rental terms, including security deposits, damage policies, and pickup/drop-off logistics, must be clearly stated in the listing.
**Honoring Bookings:** Listers must honor all confirmed bookings. Cancellations by the lister may result in penalties.
**Safety and Compliance:** Listers certify that the item is safe to use and complies with all relevant legal and safety standards in the local jurisdiction.
**Timely Communication:** Listers must maintain prompt and clear communication with the renter to coordinate exchange logistics and address any pre-rental queries.

Rentozon acts solely as an intermediary marketplace connecting independent renters and listers.

**Fraud and Disputes:** Rentozon is **NOT RESPONSIBLE** for any fraudulent activity, misrepresentation, theft, personal injury, or damage to property that occurs during the course of a rental transaction. While we provide tools and verified profiles, the ultimate responsibility for verifying the item and the transaction counterpart rests with the user.

**Risk and Insurance:** Users engaging in transactions do so at their own risk. We strongly recommend that listers secure adequate insurance coverage for their listed items and that all users exercise due diligence and common sense during all interactions and exchanges.

**Dispute Resolution:** Rentozon provides a formal dispute resolution process to mediate conflicts, but we do not guarantee the recovery of goods, monetary damages, or resolution in favor of either party. Our role is limited to facilitating communication and documenting the reported events.

By using the Rentozon platform, you acknowledge and agree to these terms of limited liability.
